GIVE ME FIVE MONDAY MEME #19

This weeks theme for Give Me Five Monday meme is favorite memories from Easter day 2008.





1. Aidan loved his new Thomas toy. For the first 4 hours of the day it's all he played with. He didn't even notice that the Easter bunny gave him other stuff. He was too preoccupied with his Thomas phone.











2. Aurora has been asking for black ballet shoes with skulls on them forever and the Easter bunny was finally able to find them. She hasn't taken them off since yesterday.



















3. Easter chocolates! For whatever reason Easter chocolates tastes so much better than regular chocolates.












4. We actually had Easter dinner on Saturday with my in-laws. It was delicious and we had a great time together.















5. Okay this isn't a "favorite" memory, but it's still a memory. Aurora had the flu and although she is finally starting to feel better John is now sick.

HAPPY EASTER

Happy Easter everyone! Sorry I'm a little late with my Easter wishes to you, but the kids had a wonderful Easter and I was enjoying it with them. They have been all hopped up on chocolate all day and running around like little manics. But I figure it's Easter right and eventually they will have a sugar crash and fall asleep early. What is it with Easter chocolate that makes it taste so much better than regular chocolate? A person could get addicted to it and have to seek out not drug rehabilitation, but chocolate rehabilitation. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and you still has some chocolate left....if you do let me know, I'll be right over to help you eat it.

THE EASTER BUNNY IS COMING

I'm suppose to talk to you about stair lifts today, but I don't want to. Well, it's not that I don't want to, I'm just too excited about the Easter bunny coming on Sunday to think about anything else. Tonight I have to make a bunny cake for a family dinner tomorrow and boil eggs for the kids to decorate tomorrow night. Easter is my second favorite holiday. I think it's because of all the pretty Spring colors. Aw, who am I trying to kid, it's the chocolate. The kids are watching an Easter cartoon on television right now and I can just see the visions of chocolate bunnies and eggs running through their heads.

REALLY LONG WEEKEND

It's a four day weekend here because of the Easter holiday, but since we had a storm last night it turned into a 5 day weekend for my daughter. They canceled school because of the storm. I've about had it with this winter weather! Last night it started snowing, then turned to ice pellets, then freezing rain and now it's raining. It's really yucky outside and now for the next 5 days I will have my daughter asking me every five minutes if she can use the computer. She's only been up for about an hour, yeah teenagers like to sleep in, and she has already asked me for it 3 times. I told her to go read a book and she gave me the weirdest look.

EASTER SHOPPING

I went Easter shopping today with Brandi and I had a blast. It was fun getting out with a friend shopping.

I picked up all the stuff we need for Easter except for the Max & Ruby chocolate bunny for Aidan as they were sold out them. I was looking at the bedding sets, but I bought a new shirt instead.

It's hard to believe that Easter is almost upon us and I haven't even got my Easter decorations up yet. We have an Easter tree, just a small one, that we decorate and we decorate a tree outside with plastic Easter eggs. Do you decorate for Easter or am I just holiday crazy?
