Planning A Wedding Together

A couple of months ago my little brother got married. I call him my little brother because he's my only sibling younger than me, but he's not little at all. In fact he towers over me by at least a foot. We have always been very close and I was so excited to find out that he finally was ready to tie the knot. His wife-to-be is a wonderful women who I am proud to call my friend. I was very happy when they included me in helping with the wedding preparations.

A lot of men don't get very involved with wedding planning, but my brother wasn't one of them. He was right there from deciding where the wedding was going to be held to picking out the flowers. Of course being the groom he was in charge of picking out gifts for his best man and ushers. He even did a great job finding unique groomsmen gifts for all the guys standing up with him.

When it comes to weddings I feel that it isn't just the bride's job to plan and do everything. The wedding isn't just for the bride, it's for the groom also. A wedding is the start of a marriage and since marriage is for both the bride and the groom then planning the wedding should be for both of them as well. Marriage, for most of the time, is a once in a lifetime occasion, and why not share all the experiences of it together by planning it together.
