Because winter is so long here in Canada, and I live in a rural area, snowmobiling is a great way to spend time outdoors in the wintertime.When it comes to snowmobiling safety is always first. This includes helmets. Many people wear motorcycle helmets as a snowmobile helmet and although there are some helmets that states on them that they can be used for both, some aren't. The main difference between a motorcycle helmet and a snowmobile helmet is the double layered windshield and a breath deflector. These allow your shield not to fog up.
If you're unsure whether your motorcycle helmet is approved for snowmobile driving be on the safe side and purchase a separate helmet for snowmobiling.
