Where Does The Easter Bunny Live?

My four year old son asked me a very important question the other day. He asked me where the Easter Bunny lived. Okay so I know Santa Claus lives in the North Pole, but where does the Easter Bunny live? I remember watching a couple of different Easter cartoons and in one of them they said he lived in Spring Valley and one said he lived in Kidsville. I figured I should better tell him Spring Valley because if I said Kidsville he would want to go there because he's a kid.

What do you think, where does the Easter Bunny live?

I would have to guess Spring Valley over Kidsville because EVERYBODY knows that only kids live in Kidsville... LOL
In all serious, I am so glad I have not been asked the same question. But I have been asked numerous times if the bunny is real and I have chosen to not answer it, just asking them what they think? I just can't put the Easter Bunny in the same category as Santa Claus. I think of him as the same plane as the Tooth Fairy. Who knew imaginary characters had degrees, huh?

Sorry, you caught me in a goofy mood this morning...Have a good day.

Wiki answers has a great answer that satisfied my 4 year old:

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Where_does_the_easter_bunny_live

The Easter Bunny lives in a very deep hole in the ground (also called a burrow) which cannot be reached by humans. Even if people were small enough to fit down the rabbit hole, the exact location of the Easter Bunny's home is top secret, classified information. This is to protect the Easter Bunny's massive stockpiles of colored eggs, jelly beans and chocolate bunnies.

However, it is believed that the entrance to the Easter Bunny's burrow is located somewhere on Easter Island, after a satellite image was taken showing him hopping down the bunny trail which winds between the giant statues with the big heads called Moai.

Legend has it that, hundreds of years ago, the Easter Bunny was having problems with intruders trying to steal from his hoard of yummy candy. He contracted Santa's elves to carve the Moai for him to scare the thieves away from his burrow. It worked out pretty well at first, but every once in awhile, a prowler would show up who wasn't afraid of the Moai. In order to keep his candy safe before spring came each year, the Easter Bunny needed a second line of defense. Luckily, he was good friends with Tutankhabunny's most powerful wizard, Imharetep, who was glad to help him out.

So now, even if a trespasser gets past the Moai, they will be subject to the Bunny's Curse. The Bunny's Curse, loosely translated from original Egyptian, states that the infiltrator will grow rabbit ears and giant buck teeth. Even worse, they will never again get chocolate in their basket - only icky-flavored, stale jelly beans and rotten eggs.

Unfortunately, when the curse was translated, somehow "Bunny" and "Mummy" got mixed up. This is why everyone knows about the Mummy's Curse, but no one knows about the Bunny's Curse.

The only person who ever made it into the Easter Bunny's burrow and back again without being cursed was Bunniana Jones, the famous archeologist and adventurer, and that's only because the Easter Bunny was a big fan, and got Bunniana Jones' autograph.

My 3 year old asked me this same question last night after seeing the Easter bunny at the mall. I told him I would google and find out. I'm going with Easter Valley in a small burrow that transpots him into another universe where humans are not allowed. He also asked me why characters such as the Easter Bunny and Tigger & Pooh can talk on TV but no when you meet them at places like Disney. Any suggestions?

Gee that's a hard one....I guess I would tell him that TV is magic and they can talk on TV, either that or they can't talk around real live people because it's against the magic animal rules.

My 6yo asked the same question and I told him Easter Island. He then asked where does he live when it's not Easter and exactly how does he get the eggs and dye to color them? Next statement was..."Well my brother(who is 11yo)"told me he is not real. Mom, how do u explain that?"!!!! BOYS!!!

The easter bunny leaves a choc coated trail each year for children to follow. They joyously, run, jump, fall, push, scratch, snatch and cry. Parents know this trail as 'the trail of destruction'. The Easter Bunny then simply hops away to live a life of luxury, where fur coats are both in vogue and not required!
Where else would a fur-coat wearing bunny who lives a life of leisure live? The Playboy Mansion of course.

The Easter Bunny lives on "Easter Island". After seeing the movie Hop this confirmed the answer to my 5 year old daughter.

I BELIEVE IT DEPENDS ON WHERE YOU LIVE TO WHERE YOU SAY THE EASTER BUNNY IS FROM. I LIVE IN ILLINOIS AND THERE IS A SPRING VALLEY IN ILLINOIS AND TO EASY TO GET TO SO MAYBE EASTER ISLAND OR MAYBE SOMEWHERE IN GERMANY SINCE IT IS THE GERMANS THAT BROUGHT THE EASTER BUNNY TO AMERICA
