On March break I plan on redoing my sons bedroom. If you are a regular reader of this blog you know by now that my son is a huge Thomas The Tank Engine fan. I want to get him a Thomas The Tank Engine bed like this one, but the only problem is that they only come in toddler size and he's too big for one of those now. I can't seem to find one in a single/twin bed size. I'm having a hard time finding Thomas The Tank Engine wallpaper as well. I can find Thomas The Tank Engine boarder and wall stickers, but not wallpaper. I still have a couple of discount furniture stores I can check. Wish me luck on finding what I'm looking for!

A Thomas The Tank Engine Bedroom

I want to get him a Thomas The Tank Engine bed like this one, but the only problem is that they only come in toddler size and he's too big for one of those now. Ohhh I LOVE it!!! My four year old would FLIP if he saw that bed (he ADORES Thomas). He's in a twin bed already, so going back to a toddler bed isn't something we'd do, but if you ever find a twin sized version, please do write a post about it with more info. Good luck in your search!!

This is a very cute bed. If you can't find one make one. Make a Thomas the Train head board from plywood and paint it. I bet is would be really cute.
Do you have an unfinished furniture outlet near you? You could buy a plain wooden frame and paint it up yourself. Just a thought...

I have to go bed shopping soon for my son. But since he is now 16 I dont think he would want a Thomas the Tank Engine bed :(
Tamy, I thought of you today :) I had to get the oil changed in my car and the place that did it had a playroom for kids!!! Well, in the playroom the walls are painted with fun kid stuff and one wall had Thomas the Tank Engine on it!

I found your blog doing a search for thomas themed beds. (Ha!) I am building a loft bed for my son, and putting panels around it to make it look like thomas, it is a standard twin and will have a train table and play area underneath. In total, the cost will be around $300 bedding included. I got the plans for the bed at http://OPloftbeds.com if you're interested. Best of luck to you!
Good luck! That is an awesome toddler bed; unfortunately they're just not as popular in the twin bed size hence why they don't make them. I would say the best bet would be to just buy the bedding set of Thomas the Tank. I don't know how useful this will be to you but there's lots of thomas products available at Characterland http://www.characterland.co.uk/character/Thomas/index.html
I think that this is a great idea for kids who are in love with Thomas! I loved watching that show growing up myself. I hope that they continue! then you can but a waterbed to put in there and they will be sleeping like babies!
