I wasn't going to make it look like Thomas that much because of trade mark issues, but thanks to all the comments that I've received telling me it was okay to make it look like Thomas as long as I didn't sell the sweater I decided to make it look a little more like Thomas then I originally planned.
I'm done the front of the sweater and here's what it looks like.
All I have to do now is the back, the arms and the neck band. What do you think, does it look enough like Thomas the Tank Engine to make my 3 year old happy?Hmmm....I wonder if I should put my knitting skills on my Austin resumes.

That is sweet, my grandson was a big fan of Thomas although he has moved on to the Transformers now. He would have loved that sweater.
