A Bloggers Dilemma

Blogging Blackmail

Ever since I started blogging I've noticed a strange scared look in my husband's eyes after he does something silly or stupid. It's the "Please don't blog about this" look. At times I've actually found myself saying, "I am so going to blog about this" when I see something silly, funny or strange. Am I the only blogger out there who gets this look? When you see someone doing something strange or silly do you automatically think about blogging about it? Does this make me a true blogger or just desperate for a post?

Well, seeing as I am absolutely certain that everyone out there wants to know every little thing in my life that is even remotely amusing; I don't think you're desperate for a post. By the way I decided to meme you, care to respond?

My husband always knows when I am composing a blog entry in my mind,m usually because I am taking some odd pictures. He will say to me "You're going to blog about this, aren't you?"

Deep down in my heart, I wish to blog about everything but my mind tells me that I shouldn't be so "open". A battle within me.

Tammy you are not the only one. That happens to me all the time as well. I don't think it's being desperate. It's just having the urge to share. :)

LOL! No, you're not alone out there Tammy. I'm exactly like you. If I see or hear anything remotely interesting, I'll be telling wifey, 'I'm going to blog about it ...'

It's just so natural when you have a blog to be like that ... hehehe ...

My kids are always saying that. Or if I take a picture, they'll ask when it will be posted. Yeah, they're funny kids!

Nope, I do the same thing and it drives the family crazy! My daughter is 15 and has threatened to start her own blog. Go for it, I told her, even offered to set it up.

Nah, it just means u're a true blogger. Else, why would you blog in the first place if its not about things in your life...anyways, I'd love love LURVE to read about anything u have to blog about. They can be exceptionally hilarious!

Real life is always endlessly more entertaining, inspiring and thought provoking that fiction. Your spouse should only fret if you stop blogging about your daily life. :)

A few weeks ago I got a text message from my friend (who is the only person in my "real" life who knows I blog) saying something like "you'll never guess where I am". I didn't have a chance to respond, so the next time I talked to him on the phone I asked and he told me...but then was like: "Oh no, you are going to blog about this now!"

Oh yes, I've even used it as a threat, Just watch out or you'll be in my blog!!! LOL

I have an award for you :)

LOL! I don't think it makes you desperate; I think it makes you inspired! :-) ... I say the same thing to my teenager and I always "threaten" my NY friend that I'll post about him. My daughter just shakes her head or laughs -- she knows I won't post anything too embarassing, and the NYer thinks it's funny.

BTW: Thanks for your support and encouragement... I do belong to a church, but that's a long/short/semi involved story. :-) Well, I responded to what you said in my comments thingy on the same post! Thanks again, Tammy, I really appreciate your friendship.

hahaah this is funny. I think blogging comes in front of everything and of course, we do need interesting entries for our blogs- so, anything which qualifies in the blog are great items! LOL
