Acne is A 4 Letter Word
Acne, the dreaded 4 letter word to teenagers. Most teenagers experience acne at some point, but what to do about it? That's my daughters problem, she has been experiencing bad acne for the past couple of years. Heredity is great isn't it, both myself and her father had acne as teenagers, so there was no way she wasn't going to be plagued with it. She has tried everything and has even gotten doctor prescriptions for it, but nothing seems to work. Has anybody else had bad acne and what did you do to help it?

It's not a cure as such, but i know over here you can get special cover up foundation make up especially for stuff like that and for people with burns and stuff too.

Tammy, I think acne is quite common and sometimes, it comes with the hormones, especially in the early 20s. I had the same problem when I was a teenager too, but they disappeared with time- and no marks left too.
Try using a non-alcaline facial cleanser.
I did experience bad acne for more than 10 years! Tried whatever people recommended but still hard to find the correct remedy. Anyway, I used to apply vitamin E oil (helps to recover the scar) which contains tea tree oil (to fight acne bacteria) and the results not bad. I bought it from the pharmacy shop. Not sure will it help and suitable for your daughter? Anyway, I did pray to God at the same to heal it too!
Working in a GP surgery I know of a lot of girls who use certain contraceptive pills which really really help with the skin..
But I'm guessing your daughter is probably a little young to consider that option.
My son had acne, not so bad but enough to stress him (always when he didnt want it) my mother gave him an avon skin wash, I think it was called Clearskin..worked for him...my g/f had it bad and she went to a herbalist and he made her a concoction she swore by..I have heard the same as Lady banana
