WHY I HAVE COMMENT MODERATION ON
As many of you may have noticed I put comment moderation on my blog. I did this because I am tired of having a certain individual leaving nasty comments. This person, who I will not name because I was brought up to believe that if you have nothing nice to say about someone, don't say anything at all, has left comments that vary from me being a bad mother to my children being brats. I have not said anything to this person because I hoped that if I ignored them they will get tired and go away and realize I am not interested in what they have to say. This person does not know me or my children and I do not know them, and I would like to keep it that way. I have been told that it is possible to block a certain person from visiting my site and although this will be a last resort if this continues I will have to do this. Dear individual please realize that although you may think you are just giving free advice, I would prefer if you would not.

People can really just behave so badly on the internet thinking that people can't see them doing it.

It's not me, is it? Forty lashes with the TV remote! It's a horrible thing to have to monitor the conversation. Is the blocking kinda like marking this person as spam?
That's not right. Can you block their IP address?
oh man was it me no I dont think it was me I so know how it is though when some one gets their nose where it don't belong.... I dont think it was me was it? how would they know yoru kids are brats?????
If I had the little face with a tongue sticking out, I would insert it here for that person!

Good for you for protecting yourself, and bad on him for making you have to do this. I hope whoever it is takes the hint and leaves you alone!
I don't have people leaving nasty comments on my blog but I'm having an incredible amount of spam comments. I'm very tempted to have comments approved before they appear too but I'm not too sure if readers/commentors would like that.
Good for you Tammy. People are such idiots sometimes. They really feel like they can get up all in your face on the Internet yet in person they are little cowards...so sorry you have to deal with this at all. Hopefully this person will take a hike!

It's me! I'm the one! Tammy keeps trying to hide from me, but she's so darn wonderful that I just keep tracking her down like the lost little BBFF I am ;-)
OHHHHH she's talking about some *&%$#&* who says mean things. Yeah well, she's been a saint through all of this. She gets insulted and she doesn't retaliate. She is truly a very special person - anyone who took the time to get to know her would learn that (but back off, she's MY best bud - I don't share well hehe). It's a shame that some people are so busy running their mouth and trying to be noticed that they miss out on getting to know some fabulous people!
OK, I'm stepping off my soap box (again). Gosh Tam, people are going to start talking about me and my runaway say-it-like-it-is fingers hehe Can't control them when they get upset, ya know - they just type on their own. It's a shame there are mean and evil people in the world hiding behind their own 'excuses' for doing the nasty things they do - it's really ruining our entire mankind, in my opinion ;-)

Tammy, that's good. I had the same problems too, both me and my dad's blog. i agree with you, if there's nothing good to say, just shut up. besides, this is out personal blog, no one needs to talk bad about us, if they like our blogs, they are welcomed, otherwise, who asked them to visit the blog at all? these people are just jealous of what they dont and can't have.
I don't blame you one bit. And I agree with you on the 'if you've got nothing nice to say, then just shut the hell up'.
I'm lucky so far all you guys have nice things to say in my blog ... LOL!

I read once that comment moderation puts some people off and I worried about it for about...2 1/2 seconds. Anyone who has something important to say won't mind the moderation. Good for you!
I think I know who you are referring too; I remember one particular comment he left and I was really tempted to tell him off for you but I refrained. Good luck getting rid of this particular poster.

I received 2 nasty comments a few months ago saying that my blog is racist. Well, it's rather iritating to receive such comments. Why are these people writing such nasty comments when they do not know us? I support you, Tammy. If I were to receive those comments again, I would do like you do.
I know who this individual is...and I wouldn't have blamed you from blocking AGES ago. If people don't want to be sociable...WHy stick in your nose...
With so many blogs online and so much else to do it's amazing that some twats can't find anything better to do with their time than to post nasty comments - get a life I say!
