This week I am spotlighting Skittles who we all know all love. Skittles runs five blogs. Skittles' Place is a wonderful blog that so many of us enjoy on a daily basis. Easy As 1-2-3 Recipes is a blog with easy tasty recipes that we all can make and enjoy. Panic Attacks & Agoraphobia is where Skittles talks about a few basic facts about this and how it played a part in her life. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder - Adult Survivors Of Child Abuse is an in depth look at the side effects of child abuse on the adults who have survived this. Heads Or Tails is the home page of the popular weekly meme which posts the rules and graphics for it.

Skittles had a website at Tripod years ago, but it was unsatisfying. Then she heard of blogs from a late night television show where the host of the show called family members of his guest and asked them if they knew what a blog was. This sparked her interest and after some googling blog hosts, her first blog was officially born on August 24, 2006.

I asked Skittles why she started to blog and she told me that it was a way to express herself. It was a connection to the outside world. Due to her panic attacks and agoraphobia she felt cut off and this was a way to reconnect.

Skittles loves to write and this is one of the things she likes best about blogging. When she was younger she had a diary, then a journal and now blogging. She loves how she can go off in any direction and is not limited to what she can talk about. She says she also loves all the wonderful people she has connected with through blogging. Blogging does have it set back though. Skittles putting herself out there for so much public scrutiny has caused her troubles a few times.

Skittles' Place is subtitled "Posting at the Speed of Light" because although Skittles usually posts in the morning, she is not limited to it, she posts when she wants to. She often throws up posts when she finds something interesting or funny to post about. I personally enjoy the little funny posts she puts up later in the day.

Skittles hosts the popular weekly meme "Heads or Tails", but she does more than just that. She also does "Caption This" where she puts up a funny or unusual picture and people leave comments for the caption. "Just A Quickie" is another thing she does where she asks usual questions that no one else would think of asking, like how often do you make your bed. She likes doing these "Just A Quickie" posts because people feel more free to comment on them. Skittles just isn't here to entertain us, she is also here to inform us with posts about important issues like child abuse and obesity. She has recently started posting about "How To HTML" where she lets us know how to do certain things with HTML codes.

If you have never been to any of Skittles blogs you definitely must visit them. Not only is she entertaining and informative, she also is a kind and wonderful person. If there is one blog that I absolutely must read daily, it has to be Skittles.
