I HATE MY COMPUTER

This is so what I feel like doing right now. I think I really need to buy a new computer. It still keeps shutting down on me. Arghhhh! I still have a few tricks left I can still try before I actually hit it a hammer. But, I'm pretty close to getting that hammer.

Cool down, Tammy. You don't need a hammer, you need a dustbin! Just joking. Send it for service or buy a new one?

We have a computer like that in this house. Frustrating....

I would never buy a desktop computer again after having a laptop. Something to consider if looking into a new one.

take care

I am tagging you with a frienship chain on rantings. :0)

Just remember, a computer that sucks is better than no computer at all!

Technology can be so frustrating, can't it?! Well, before you hit it with the hammer just take a couple (okay, a lot) of deep breaths!

Maybe you need a timeout! :-) I'm just kidding... I know that can be frustrating!

OK! Don't smash yet! My computer shut down on me..and maybe this isn't the same thing but I'll throw it out there. It would shut down..just snap right off. Turns out that the fan had grown a fur coat and all it needed was some compressed air to clean it off. Have you checked your fan for winter wear? It's a defense mechanism so to speak that causes the computer to shut itself down in order to save itself. I haven't read further down, but thought I would offer what helped me anyway. I hope you can figure out the problem. My computer just catches turtles while Entrecarding.

We were having some computer issues too. We ended up doing a complete reboot with the original system disks that came with the computer. Of course, I didn't think to back everything up somewhere, so I lost a couple things. I can be such a stupid head sometimes. Good luck! (http://dottiemay71.blogspot.com)

Tammy, I have the same problem with my Acer desktop, It shuts down while I am in the middle of something! I think it's the fan or the cooling element inside. I am planning to take it to Acer service centre. so frustrating something. you need a hammer, I might just dump it and break it in the thrash! arghhhhhhhh

I know the feeling very well. My husband is working on building me a new one. I will have it sometime before the end of this year. We have to do it piece by piece as we can afford it. It will be worth the wait though.

I get so frustrated with the computer. I end of in cyberspace..sometimes can't get to comments...thinking about physically throwing the computer feels good some days.

Have a great day....

Did you figure out your pc issues? If you are familiar with them and maintaining them then you may already know this, sorry.

Overheating causes shutdowns; just like the others who described dirty fans etc.

A power supply going bad will also cause random shutdowns. If the system cannot get a good power flow or enough power it will shut down to keep from damaging parts that require more power.

there are other reasons of course, but those are the two main ones that come to mind. My husband and I build our pc's. The only ones we purchase premade are laptops. Good luck! :)
