EXCHANGING GIFTS
Today I went out to exchange two Christmas gifts. My husband bought me a sweater and a shirt that were very nice, but they were too small for me, for Christmas. Hey, he tried! So I loaded the kids in the car with the sole purpose of going and exchanging the sweater and shirt for a larger size, but when I got to the store they told me that they weren't doing exchanges or returns until tomorrow. Okay, that makes a lot of sense...not! So basically, I wasted the afternoon when I have so many other things I could be doing and now have to go back again to exchange these things. I suppose I'm lucky that I only have two gifts that needs exchanged this year. How many do you have to exchange?

That is really messed up. I used to work in retail, and the day after Christmas about all we did was returns and exchanges. We had a special table set up to handle it because the service desk was just not big enough.
I hate wasting my time going out and not getting anything done.
I'm pleased this year I have nothing to return.. phew!
I only have one thing to return...Ryan's remote control helicopter. It won't hold a charge. But since I have the reciept, I'm waiting a few days to avoid the crowds.
Hope you'll be able to exchange the gifts without much fuss the second time round. ;)
Nope, no exchanging for me. I am still waiting for the tag and receipt from my sis!! :-)
How do you not do returns/exchanges until tomorrow? That makes ZERO sense.
That's a silly rule. They probably just said that to discourage people from coming back... what a waste of time! Well, the teenager bought me a beginners yoga kit, which I love, but the DVD skips so it has to be returned. Luckily she ordered if from Amazon.com so I just called and another one is already on the way!!
I took the teenager on the day after Christmas to do her exchanges since she had a gift card to Goodies she wanted to use during the sale. She wanted to exchange a coat, but they didn't have one she liked so she got a pair of shoes and she wanted to get a larger size in a pair of jeans, but they didn't have them in a larger size so she got different jeans! WHEW!
I actually have absolutely nothing to return this year - I think for the first time ever! :)
I don't do exchange gifts ;) But i do get 1 present hehehe.. and i give 2 present for Jason and my hubby :D
that is good u still have exchanging gift with ur hubby..so romantic!
Where I live they won't even do any returns in a lot of stores anymore until after boxing week...which is a huge pain considering alot of people only get that week off..
No returns for me though...we are getting each other a computer this year....
That's a really annoying rule-who does that?? I only have a dress for my daughter to exchange. She got footed jammies instead!
That's a stupid rule!
Hey, at least you and John exchange gifts... that's sweet. Hubs and I don't usually get to do that.
So far, I don't think I'm going to have to exchange anything!!! 'Scuse me, gotta go knock on some wood so I don't jinx myself.
